“I photograph what people don’t realize they’re revealing.”
In sports and documentary photography, “The Space Between” is the foundation of my work — an exploration of everything that exists beyond what’s immediately visible. It is where light meets shadow, where cultures overlap, where past and present echo one another, and where motion begins to settle into memory.
This space is not empty; it is charged with tension, depth, and possibility. It’s found in the pause before a decisive play, the quiet after a whistle, the glance exchanged off-camera. It’s where identity forms, where stories intersect, and where connection becomes visible.
Every photograph in this portfolio lives at that intersection — between clarity and blur, stillness and movement, history and the present, the seen and the felt.
By focusing on these in-between moments, I hope to slow the pace just enough to let viewers look closer, because meaning often lives in what we almost overlook.

What Inspired Me
I was four years old when a local reporter put a microphone in front of me during a martial arts class. I do not remember what I said. I remember noticing everything else. The way people leaned in. The way the room shifted. The way attention can change a space.
Something about that moment stayed with me.
Not long after, I asked for a camera. It felt obvious.
Still four, at a racing event, while my brother met his favorite driver Kurt Busch and others like Richard Petty and Juan Pablo Montoya, I dragged a chair across the floor so I could stand higher. I needed to see better.
I needed to take the pictures. No one told me to. I just felt it.
The photos were blurry. I was tiny. But something clicked. The urgency to document. To frame. To keep something from disappearing.
I did not have language for it then. I just knew I did not want moments to pass without noticing them.
